If you ask the right people, you eventually hear stories. The specialist marine units sent in to “clean up” apparition situations. Those few who survived were never quite the same again. Scuttlebutt is that Ghost is one such person.

The obvious question is quite how a special forces grunt ended up in charge of one of the UCCNZFJ Space Navy's major assets? (Other people suggest that maybe provoking the potentially unstable guy with the orbital death platform might not be the wisest course of action.)
