====== The Fleet ======

The Fleet of survivors is a rag-tag group of all who left during the final exodus from Earth (see [[History]]).  The following is a list of the ships in the fleet, their classes and their Captains.

  * **Description**: The ship of the line (and last) of the Rubicon class, the Rubicon was Portugal’s sole contribution to the UC’s anti-piracy taskforce. The Rubicon became feared by pirates in the Pirate Wars due to the policy adopted by the ship destroying any and every pirate vessel encountered, regardless of their crew’s survival. It subsequently gained further infamy when he bombarded and destroyed the Portuguese emergency Assembly of State and thus destroyed Portuguese democracy in 2079. After the establishment of military government in Portugal, the Rubicon came to serve as the de facto nexus of administration, and her Captain the closest thing in the loose coalition of army and naval officers that made up the government to a head of state. It finally departed and joined the back of the vast transient fleet when nuclear fire consumed the surface of the Earth.
